ZEHO ECO and Zhipu AI Sign Business Contract, Marking Critical Milestone in AI Business Development

In March 2024, ZEHO ECO signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology Co., Ltd. (Zhipu AI) to jointly advance the innovative application of large-scale AI models in the ecological and environmental protection sector. On March 21, 2025, building on this foundation, the two parties further solidified their collaboration by signing an R&D technical service contract, clarifying the pathway for joint development. This agreement accelerates efforts in knowledge base construction, the development of large-scale models for river-lake and marine ecological restoration, and intelligent agent systems. These initiatives signify that ZEHO ECO's AI-driven business has entered a pivotal phase, injecting robust momentum into the company's digital transformation and upgrading.


Knowledge Base Drives Cost Efficiency and Innovation


Amid the AI era's transformative wave, ZEHO ECO has embraced technological innovation, leading its workforce toward intelligent transformation. The company is currently prioritizing the development of an internal knowledge base system.


This knowledge base integrates 28 years of ZEHO ECO's practical experience. The R&D team has meticulously cataloged over 500 ecological restoration project cases, 100+ technical patents, and engineering solutions, while embedding core processes such as strategic management, internal controls, and supply chain ecosystems. The result is a dynamic knowledge graph designed to serve as an intelligent hub for technical standards, bidding plans, design proposals, and other critical resources. Leveraging Zhipu AI's advanced technology engine, the GLM large model base, and the open-source Deepseek model, the knowledge base enables real-time retrieval and precision-targeted solutions, transforming designers' expertise into reusable, evolving organizational capabilities.


As a key tool for information storage, technical advancement, management optimization, and business expansion, the knowledge base delivers multidimensional value. For the enterprise, it stimulates innovation and reduces costs across operations. For employees, it streamlines access to knowledge, enhances productivity, and empowers talent development through knowledge reuse.


Large-Scale Models Propel Industry Intelligence


Since 2022, ZEHO ECO has collaborated with the Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources, to establish the "Key Laboratory of Marine Ecological Protection and Restoration." In recent years, leveraging this platform, the partners jointly released three influential marine industry standards: Technical Guidelines for Island Ecological RestorationMarine Ecological Restoration Acceptance Guidelines, and Vibrant Coastline Construction Technical Guidelines. Additionally, ZEHO ECO has undertaken national key R&D projects such as "Vibrant Coastline Model Development and Demonstration Applications" and executed critical marine restoration initiatives, including the Sanya Sea Turtle and Hawksbill Turtle Population Recovery and Habitat Restoration Project, Dongfang City's Duntou Bay Coral Reef Restoration Project, and Sanya Tielu Port Mangrove Wetland Enhancement Project.


At this pivotal AI-driven juncture, ZEHO ECO, Zhipu AI, and the Third Institute of Oceanography are pooling their scientific expertise to develop a large-scale marine ecological restoration model. Future collaborations will expand to river-lake ecological restoration models.


This model integrates ecology, GIS, remote sensing, and vast ecological datasets (hydrology, climate, biodiversity, etc.), employing deep learning and computer vision to diagnose ecosystem degradation and predict restoration outcomes. It shifts marine restoration from experience-based approaches to "data + AI" dual-driven methodologies, enhancing scientific precision and efficiency in marine conservation efforts.


Intelligent Agents Revolutionize Waterfront Management


To address challenges in waterfront and aquatic operations—complexity, harsh environments, labor intensity, and safety risks—ZEHO ECO has developed an "AI Ecological Steward" system. This intelligent agent combines real-time environmental monitoring, unmanned operations, and AI-driven decision-making to enable digital management and automated maintenance of waterfront zones, significantly improving ecological protection efficiency while reducing costs and enhancing decision-making.


Currently, the system is being piloted in Beijing's Xiyuhe Wetland (Haidian District) and Wuhan's Zaifu River (Jiangxia District) projects, establishing a closed-loop smart operations framework to elevate maintenance standards.


Looking ahead, ZEHO ECO will deepen partnerships with Zhipu AI and other tech leaders to accelerate AI adoption in ecological restoration and waterfront management, pioneering innovative models for the industry's intelligent transformation.
